Sterilization
Safe Spice has developed a unique, proprietary and a natural sterilisation system.
Recently we have developed The New Safe Spice Vacuum Chamber.
Designed especially for the treatment of color/flavor sensitive delicate leafy herbs the Safe Spice Batch System does not incur any process loss.
The New improved system has improved process control. The greater range of vacuum and pressure can more effectively treat plus at the same time retain color and flavor.
The system is based on the principal that herbs, spices and ingredients are sterilised in cotton bags, which is the most suitable permeable material available for this application. The control of the system is done over a PLC, which operates according to the data obtained from the environment and product itself. The vacuum chamber is combined of Rot-a-jector, a combined ejector/condenser/liquid ring pump.

The high vacuum and fast steam injection system operates at the lowest possible cost and saves energy.

Safe Spice Mills will crush, crack and grind a complete range of herbs and spices to any of the food safe specifications.
As with all new developments at Safe Spice the milling operation is designed to provide products that meet the food safety systems and standards required by the Herbs & Spices importing companies in Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, Japan & Far East and now USA plus Canada.
Herbs & Spices are first steam sterilised before they are further processed on the milling system. The milling operation is fully sanitised for sterility and then hygienic conditions are applied during processing.
To ensure complete clean down between milling batches we use the Biotrace system to check for bacteria. In addition to having a fully sanitised system we also do pre and post milling microbiological analysis.
The whole milling environment is fully PLC controlled so that how ever many mills are working at the same time we ensure that there is positive pressure of hepta filter air in the milling hall during operation.
